Clean, Fresh, Pure Air ... Made Naturally

The Natural Way to Treat the Air in Your Home, Office or Store!

Tobacco Smoke:

Natural Air's regeneration technology, not only reduces the visible smoke, but the odor as well.

Pet Dander & Pet Odor:

The cleansing agents released in the Natural Air regeneration process dramatically reduce the amount of particulate matter suspended in the air. Most people are not hindered by dander itself, but by the enzymes contained in the aerosolized saliva produced by cats grooming themselves. This enzyme attaches itself to the dander which, when inhaled, irritates the lungs. Natural Air's process helps remove particle dander, which may contain enzymes from the breathing zone.

Cooking Odors:

Natural Air's regeneration process uses negative ions, aside from being nature's air cleaner and mood elevators, they cause pollution-bearing ions (like food particles) to be attracted to them like iron to a magnet, when enough particulate matter adheres to the particle it becomes too heavy to float and settles to the ground.

Mold/Mildew:

Natural Air uses a multi-leveled technological offensive strategy to help reduce the mold and mildew odors from your breathing space. Our naturally charged particles and activated oxygen combine to oxidize odors and gases into molecules of carbon dioxide and water vapor.

Allergies:

While Natural Air's unit is not a medical device; our air regeneration process does recreate Mother Nature's own air cleansing process and help remove harmful irritants, which can cause respiratory distress.

How do Natural Air Regenerators Work?

The short answer is that the Natural Air Regenerator replicates what is done by “Mother Nature” outdoors through the natural processes brought forth by radiation from the sun and earth, lightning, rain and other factors.

The Natural Air Regenerator produces negative ions which are naturally charged particles. These particles attach to dust mites, smoke, skin flakes and other airborne pollutants. It makes the pollutants too heavy to float, so they cannot stay in the air. It is the same reason air feels so fresh when you are near a waterfall.

Many people ask us what kind of filter does Natural Air use. And the answer is that it doesn’t. That’s because Natural Air is not a filter, it is an air regenerator. There is no filter to change or replace. It does have a fan, but the fan’s purpose is not to bring pollutants and odors into the machine, but to send the “air regenerating ions” out to destroy pollutants and odors at their source.

"Naturally Charged Particles" Fight Indoor Pollutants

So, you ask: “Since Natural Air doesn’t have a filter to collect pollutants, where does the stuff go that is cleaned out of the air? Good question. The simple answer is that the odors and gases are simply oxidized and turned into molecules of carbon dioxide and water vapor (they disappear); and the larger air-borne dust, dander and pollen settle to the floor where they can be vacuumed or mopped up in normal house cleaning.

These ions are electrically charged particles generated in nature by natural forces, like the sun and earth’s radiation, water spray and lightning. They are totally harmless to humans. Normal ion levels are from 1,000 to 4,000 ions per cubic centimeter in fresh country air, with a ratio of five positive to four negative. The typical office, however, many contain as few as 20 negative and 35 positive ions per cubic centimeter.

Ions are short-lived and need constant replenishing. That’s part of what the Natural Air Regenerator accomplishes. The balance of negative to positive ions has an effect on our sense of well-being. For example, doctors in Israel have reported that hot, dry “witch winds”, high in positive ions stimulate complaints of discomfort. Little wonder that most people feel their best when near waterfalls and beaches or in the mountains where negative ion counts are much higher.

Getting the Most From Your Natural Air Regenerator

The Natural Air can do far more than deliver mountain fresh air and remove dust, smoke, odors from cooking, mold and chemicals, etc. It's a highly versatile and useful tool to cleanse your whole house!

Freshen up your whole-house air conditioning system

Put your Natural Air unit as close as possible to the main Cold-Air Return of your system. (The main duct where air is drawn from the house into the AC system for heating and cooling). Set the Natural Air's "Purify" on "High" and the fan on "Low." Then turn on your AC system fan to run continuously ("Fan ON"). Let it run for at least six hours and up to 12 hours. Natural Air can reduce skin dander, pollen, even odor molecules trapped within the air ducts. It's like having the ducts cleaned, only easier (and less expensive!)

Refresh your beds

Put the Natural Air at the foot end of the bed. Make a "tent" over it with the top sheet. (Put the pillows on each side to help support the tent.) Make sure the back of your Natural Air unit is open to the outside air so it can draw in and blow regenerated air into the tent. Set both "Purify" and the fan on "High" and let it run for at least two hours. The Natural Air unit's ozone will clean the bedding. There's nothing better than a night's sleep in a freshened-up bed!

Clean the kid's room and confined areas

The Natural Air regeneration process reduces germs on surfaces in the following manner-- Place the Natural Air in an elevated position facing the area to be cleaned. Set both "Purifier" and the fan on "High" and let it run for up to two hours. During this period, leave the room unoccupied as the ozone level may be irritating to some people, especially children and the elderly.

Clean the bathrooms

Place the Natural Air in an elevated position. Open cabinet doors, shower doors, lid on toilet. Face the Natural Air toward any problem areas such as mold on tile. Set both "Purifier" and the fan on "High," close the door, leave the room unoccupied, and let it run for at least two hours.

Freshen your clothes closets

Elevate the Natural Air on a stool facing the open closet. Space out clothes on hangers to assist air flow among them. Set the Natural Air Purifier on "High" and the fan about half-speed and let it run for at least an hour. Not only freshens the clothes, but destroys any lingering odor from shoes.

Deodorize pet areas

Pet bed areas, or (especially) cat litter box areas, often need odor control. Elevate the Natural Air above and facing the area to be treated, set both "Purify" and the fan on "High," run for one to two hours. The Natural Air will even remove the scent of cat urine embedded in carpet and other floor covering! Be patient! Heavy cat urine odors may take six to twelve hours to eliminate.

Freshen-up your car

Place your Natural Air in an elevated position (the center console, for example) in your car. Connect with a three-prong (grounded) extension cord to a nearby outlet. Set "Purify" and fan on "High." Run for 1 hour. For maximum effect, run the car's air-conditioner on "Re-circulate) for about half an hour.

Sports shoes and equipment

Put sports shoes and sweat-scented equipment within about three feet of the Natural Air Set "Purifier" on "High," set fan on "Low." Run for 30 minutes to an hour or until "sniff-test" determines de-odorizing is complete.

Destroy mold

Molds have the potential to cause a variety of health problems. Molds produce allergens, irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic substances. Inhaling or touching mold or mold spores may cause allergic reactions, such as hay fever symptoms, in some sensitive people. Molds can also cause asthma attacks in people with asthma who are allergic to mold. In addition, mold exposure can irritate the eyes, skin, nose, throat, and lungs of both mold-allergic and non-allergic people. Certain molds -- best known is stachybotrys -- have the potential to produce extremely potent toxins that can cause problems ranging from sinus infections to lung hemorrhage to brain damage.

Because Natural Air doesn't have a filter to collect pollutants, where does the stuff go that it cleans out of the air?

Many odors and gases are simply oxidized and turned into molecules of carbon dioxide and water vapor. They virtually disappear! Larger air-borne dust, dander and pollen, settle to the floor, where they can be vacuumed or mopped up in normal house cleaning.

Can Natural Air help my asthma?

Natural Air is not a medical device. Regenerating the air to Mother Nature's standards may, however, reduce asthma symptoms in some cases.

Can Ozone be classified as a therapeutic substance?

The remarkable capability of Ozone has interested doctors and hygienists for a long time. Therapeutic employment of Ozone is based on two modes of action. One is the action of the pure oxidation itself, the other, the action of the oxygen created by the oxidation, which in its status nascendi shows peculiar qualities.

"Ozone is exceedingly valuable from a therapeutic standpoint. It gives better and prompter relief than any other medication."
- A. Caille, MD

"If I could have only one remedy, I would prefer to take my chances with Ozone."
- Noble M. Eberhard, MD

Does Natural Air have a fan?

Yes. The fan's purpose is not to bring pollutants and odors into the machine, but to send Mother Nature's air regenerating agents out to reduce pollutants and odors at their source.

Does Natural Air Regenerator meet FDA standards as a "medical device"?

Natural Air Regenerator is NOT a medical device and makes no health claims.

How does Natural Air clean the air?

The short answer: by replicating Mother Nature's natural air cleaning and freshening qualities. Part of this process generates negative ions, which attract air pollutants such as dust mite particles, skin flakes, dust and smoke. Another part of the Natural Air process releases "activated" oxygen which reduces odors from germs, mold and mildew.

How much reduction in particulate pollution is possible in the average home?

This is a tough question. We think 90% is easily obtainable with high quality air purifiers, air cleaners, filters, and good practice. This may not be enough and you may want to push the limit. Average counts in the 10 to 20 range on the DC1100 are possible. The air quality throughout the home will vary significantly, but we believe average readings in the 10 to 20 range are possible which, if the outdoor ambient is 500, results in a 96 to 98% reduction in particles within the detection range.

I have asthma/allergies. Will Medicare pay for a Natural Air Regenerator unit?

Again, Natural Air is not a medical device. However, if your doctor writes a prescription for an "air cleaner" or similar description, Medicare may (and we stress the word "may") approve the expense.

If the manufacturer says the air cleaner will clean 1,000 square feet should I believe this?

Actually the preferred method of rating air purifiers is the CADR which is based on how fast the air cleaner or air purifier cleans the air in a sealed room. This is a useful rating for comparing one air cleaner to another. The problem with this concept is that we don't live in sealed rooms. The truth is that you cannot predict how clean the air will be in your house based solely on the CADR. Nobody's home is perfectly sealed, doors open and close, and particles are generated by virtually any activity within the house. So, the number of particles floating in your home air is the result of a constantly shifting balance between particles entering the home, being generated within the home, natural settling, and active removal by air cleaning devices.

In a 2500 sq. ft. house, how many units are recommended?

Placement of units is determined by individual needs and conditions. Are there pets in the home, high pollen count in the area? How many heating/ cooling zones? One unit may be sufficient if placed in the ideal location close to the cold-air return of the HVAC system. (HVAC: heating, ventilation and air cooling)

Is it safe to use the machine in a baby's room?

Natural Air regenerates clean, "fresh air" as found in the purest natural environments. Do not exceed a purifier setting higher than the square feet or square meters of the room.

Is Natural Air effective against airborne pollen and other allergens?

In an air conditioned environment, Natural Air's regeneration process will reduce the amounts of airborne allergens brought in from the outside. As effective as the regeneration process is, however, it cannot keep up with the challenge of an area totally open to outside air during "pollen season. Close the windows and Natural Air™ will be able to catch up with the pollen load.

Is Natural Air effective against asbestos?

The device will not destroy asbestos, and does not treat Meslothelioma.

Is Natural Air safe to use in an elderly person's room?

Yes. Natural Air simply regenerates the natural elements of fresh, outside air. Natural Air's ability to cleanse the air of odors will also keep the room smelling fresher.

My air purifier has a built in air quality monitor. Isn't that good enough?

We have yet to see a decent quality monitor on either an air purifier or an air cleaner. They typically display air quality as only "good", "clean", 5 green LEDs or some other vague way which gives the user no real information. Our tests have shown that these inexpensive type air quality sensors are inaccurate, with a tendency to drift up and down. Furthermore, they have the major limitation of only measuring the air quality right at the air purifier or air cleaner. Of course that is where the air is going to be cleanest, but unless you have the air purifier strapped around your neck it is not the air you are breathing. Besides, does it make sense to trust your air purifier to tell you it's doing a good job? So, these built in sensors are essentially a gimmick and worthless to anyone serious about improving their air quality.

Should I move the Natural Air unit into my child's bedroom when he/she has a cold or flu?

Couldn't hurt. For generations, physicians have recommended "taking the air" -- breathing fresh outdoor air and in the sun as a assist toward good health. Natural Air simply regenerates the cleansing elements of Mother Nature.

Should I run my Natural Air unit all the time or just when we're in the room?

For best results, cleanest and freshest air, run the machine constantly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The machine is designed for constant use and only requires easy periodic cleaning for maintenance.

Should I run Natural Air when the doors and windows are open?

Yes, under normal temperate conditions. Natural Air will remove air pollutants such as garden and lawn sprays and pollen that may be carried indoors by the breeze. The device is less effective, however, in high-humidity, non-air conditioned environments.

Since Natural Air Regenerator doesn't use a filter that would show me what it has removed from the air, how do I know its working?

First, smell the difference in the room where Natural Air is placed. Second, notice how quickly offensive odors and smoke (as from cigarettes or the fireplace) disappear. Third, check the next time the sun sends a beam of light through the window. You'll see fewer "floaties," especially the sparkly kind of sluffed off skin. Finally, notice how much better you and your family feel; spirits and energy levels a little higher.

What is effective range of the Natural Air Regenerator?

Up to 3,000 sq. ft. depending on air flow (an operating paddle fan, for example, will assist in moving ions and ozone throughout area). Natural Air's air regeneration process and fan can be adjusted from low to high, depending on the size of the room and the strength of offending pollution

What is Particulate Matter (PM)?

Most people have no idea what particulate matter (PM) is, let alone, that there is such a thing as particle pollution. We might think that pollution is just "something that floats in the sky way above our head" or that it is far away because it can only been seen in the distance. This thinking is wrong, in fact, pollution surrounds us no matter where we are or what we’re doing. Even on a clear day it’s everywhere, in the atmosphere, at ground level, and yes, even in our homes. Particulate matter floats through the air and with every breath we take we breathe it in, and most of it isn't visible to the naked eye. Although so small as to be invisible, PM is the air pollution that most commonly affects people’s health.

What kind of filter does Natural Air use?

Natural Air is an air regenerator, not a filter. There's no filter to change or replace. Natural Air does have screens which are designed to simply stop large particulates (hair, dust-bunnies, etc) from clogging the works. These filters need to be cleaned only when they become visibly "clogged." Simply brush off the accumulated matter.

Where is the best location for Natural Air within the home?

In a central location, six feet (or more) off the floor; ideally close to a cold-air return of the home's HVAC (heating, ventilation, air cooling) system, or close to the source of odors.

Will a Natural Air unit in a day care center reduce the incidence of colds and flu among the children and staff?

Airborne materials, such as those emitted by a sneeze, ride on particulates in the air. Natural Air reduces the amount of particulates in the air. Natural Air's regeneration process helps reduce airborne contaminants.

Will Natural Air get rid of pet dander?

Yes. Natural Air regenerates the cleansing agents of Mother Nature to dramatically reduce the amount of particles such as pet dander suspended in the air.

Actually, most people are not bothered by cat dander itself, but by the enzymes contained in the aerosolized saliva produced by cats grooming themselves. The enzyme attaches itself to the dander which, when inhaled, irritates the lungs. Natural Air's process removes dander from the "breathing zone."

Note: The "sparklies" you see in a beam of sunlight streaming through the window are not just dust and pet dander, but also particles of skin that all humans constantly shed. Just as it does with pet dander and smoke, Natural Air's process dramatically reduces the amount of this suspended pollution.

Will Natural Air get rid of sawdust in a work shop?

The majority of sawdust is made up of large particles which are best removed by a vacuum or air filter. Natural Air is not a filter. It's regeneration process will, however, get rid of the odors produced by woodworking, painting, etc.

Will Natural Air get rid of the gases from new carpet?

Yes. Cooking odors? Yes. That musty smell of mildew? Yes. The key quick removal of offensive odors is good air flow -- movement of the air by a paddle fan or similar -- over the source of the odors.

Will Natural Air get rid of the mold on bathroom tile?

Yes. The regeneration process attacks the mold and turns it into a white powder that can simply be wiped away. Place the Natural Air device in the problem room, turn it on high and close the door.

Will Natural Air get rid of the smell of cigarette and cigar smoke?

Yes. Our filterless air regeneration technology not only reduces the visible smoke but the odor as well.

Will Natural Air get rid of the smell of fresh paint?

Yes. Make sure you have good ventilation while you paint, then place Natural Air about six feet off the floor near the cold air return of your air conditioning system and the new paint odor will be removed in far less time.

Will Natural Air remove and keep mold out of our basement?

Mold grows best in damp and dark environments typical of many below-ground basement rooms. The key to eliminating mold is eliminate the moisture. This may require the application of some form of vapor or water barrier to the below-ground surfaces and/or the use of a de-humidifier. A Natural Air unit will help in mold control.

With the ideal number of units, how long to purify the air in a (2500 sq ft) house?

Based on environment and movement of air, within minutes to a few hours.

Natural Air Regenerator Quickstart Guide

Section 1:
SETTING UP your new Natural Air air regenerator.

1. In the carton you'll find:
(1) Natural Air unit
(2) Power cord
(3) Remote control unit

2. Select the most suitable place to put your unit. (See note 1 below) We strongly suggest a location about 6 feet above the floor such as on a china case, top of bookshelves, and near the cold-air return of your home's air-conditioning unit. LEAVE A SPACE OF AT LEAST 3 INCHES BETWEEN THE WALL AND THE BACK OF YOUR UNIT so that it has proper air flow.

3. Plug into wall outlet (110-115V AC). If an extension cord is required, use only a cord to match that supplied with the unit.

4. Put batteries (2 AAA size) into remote (batteries not included).

5. Turn on machine by pushing "Power" button, on the unit or remote.

6. Using remote's arrow buttons, adjust regeneration level, then fan speed. We suggest setting the machine to its lowest regeneration level for the first 24 hours of operation. Adjust fan speed as desired. See Note 2.

Now step back a few feet from the front of the unit and sniff the mountain-fresh breeze coming from your Natural Air as it begins to freshen the room.

Study the suggested uses for your Natural Air unit on the attached pages.
Note 1: Where to place your Natural Air? For regular normal use (when you're not using it to clean your bathroom, closets, bedding, etc) we suggest the room where you and your family spend most of their time. If the room has a paddle (ceiling) fan, so much the better, it will help move Natural Air's regeneration elements into every nook and cranny. For multi-story houses, we suggest placement on the main or ground floor.

Note 2: Control Settings: Every home, every environment and every person is different, The various settings allow you to match regeneration level and fan speed to your environment and your use of the unit. You, your nose and your ears are the best judges of what settings are best. Your goal is a pleasant "fresh air" scent throughout the room at a fan speed that is minimally audible.

Using the Unit at Maximum level - The highest regeneration level. This setting can be used to deal with a specific problem area. Square feet/square meter are indicated on the control panel as a guideline for adjustment. We suggest you close off the room and leave the immediate area while the unit is operating at this level.

Section 2:
Maintaining your Natural Air for best performance

KEEP YOUR NATURAL AIR EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE

Your Natural Air air regenerator requires so little care that it's easy to forget the simple maintenance procedures that will keep it running at top efficiency and effectiveness. Just follow the simple steps below and your Natural Air will keep delivering cleansing and mountain-fresh air for years.

Every four to six weeks:
Visually inspect the two screens at the back of the unit. If you see evidence that they are becoming clogged with dust bunnies, pet hair, etc., simply brush or vacuum the accumulation of dust from the screen using a soft bristle brush (a small paint brush is ideal).

Once a year (or more frequently in heavy or oily smoke environments), remove the screens to visually inspect and/or clean the generating plates inside.

a. IMPORTANT! Before doing the following, disconnect the power by pulling the plug from the wall socket.

b. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws holding each screen in place.

c. Remove and clean each screen by brushing. If there is an oily residue, wash gently with dish-washing soap and rinse clean under a faucet. Set each screen aside to drain and dry.

d. Visually inspect the two generators, one on each side of the unit. These are thin, cream colored, rectangular ceramic "plates," approximately 1 3/4" by 3". If they appear coated with dust, carefully remove them, clean with ammonia and water, rinse them in running water and let them dry before re-installing. Caution: don't bend or drop them on a hard surface, as they may break. Don't put a broken plate back in the unit. Contact Natural Air™ for a replacement.

e. To remove generators:
(1) Resting your fingers on the top of the case, use your thumb to lift and move aside the white plastic "hold-down" that keeps the ozone generator plates in place.

(2) Grasp the top of the plate and lift straight up past the shiny metal power tabs until it clears its mounting slots. Rinse and let dry. Do not put wet or moist plates back into the unit!

f. To replace ozone generators:
(1) With your fingers on the back of the unit, use your thumb to pull the closest metal power tab slightly aside and, with the other hand, gently slide the generator back into its mounting slots. Make sure that the generator plate is in both the inner and outer slots.

(2) Lift the tip of the plastic "hold-down" up and over the generator plate so that it seats in the notch.

(3) Visually check that the metal power tabs on each side are firmly touching the screens.

g. Replace the cleaned and dried outer screens. Fit the screen by sliding the front tapered edge behind the outer casing, then swing the back into place so that the screen depresses the inner safety switch. Insert and tighten "gently snug" the two screws holding each screen in place.

h. Wipe the outer case with a clean, damp cloth (please, no chemical, soap sprays, acetone or alcohol), replace the power plug into the wall receptacle, and turn your Natural Air back on.

Wasn't that simple? So easy you'll probably never need to refer to these instructions again.

Important Note: The generator screens are the only user-maintained elements within the Natural Air case. Removing or loosening any other element is totally unnecessary and will void all warranties.
